What to Expect

Initial Visit

Your first office visit with us will typically last 60-90 minutes. We ask that you allow 2 hours of your time on your initial visit. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late we may need to reschedule your appointment. Upon arrival, the registration process will take a few minutes.

Vitals and physical examination are performed. The detailed medical history form that you fill out prior to your visit will be reviewed by your physician.  During your visit, we will identify your health goals and expectations, listen to your health concerns and determine the nature of your current medical problems, develop an understanding of your uniqueness, and decide whether any further diagnostic laboratory evaluation is needed.  You will have ample time to voice your concerns and questions.

Follow Up Visit

A follow up visit is typically scheduled 2-4 weeks after your initial visit. In the interim, any recommended laboratory testing is completed by you, either at our office, at a lab, or with take home kits. At this visit, you will receive a detailed assessment of your current health status, as well as recommendations for a personalized wellness plan.  Our physicians will spend one on one time with you to interpret and explain your results. Together we will discuss your goals and treatment plan options. Your treatment plan may include multiple modalities such as medications, supplements, hormones, diet, intravenous therapy, detoxification, behavior and lifestyle changes, and alternative therapies such as yoga, meditation, acupuncture, massage or reiki. Our physicians will recommend a preventative and comprehensive treatment plan that is individualized to your needs and fits into your lifestyle. Our physicians will regularly monitor your progress and the effectiveness of your program making adjustments if necessary.

We will work in partnership with you and your primary health care providers to develop a treatment plan that fits your needs. We are a consultative service and our goal is to educate and collaborate with you and your health care providers in planning for your care. You should have a primary care physician to provide a regular source of care, routine/annual prevention exams, and urgent care needs. We are happy to provide documentation of your visits with us to your primary care provider in order to facilitate consistency and collaboration of your care. Integrative medicine consultations are available by physician referral or self-referral to our office.
